The axing of these trees has happened on 19-04-06 night.This "tree cutting for hoarding" issue was taken up to the "Tree Officer" BMP, Krishna Udupudi on 10-Apr-2006 by Mr. Rohan D'souza, Convenor “Hasiru Usiru”. The tree officer had promised action, but in these past 10 days nothing has happened!! (or has it?).
Something has to be done against the parties indulging in vandalism of trees for their personal profit and gain.
